Gilmore Girls Spoilers, Speculation & Gossip

Gilmore Girls officially canceled after seven seasons

Friday, May 4th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

It’s official. Gilmore Girls has officially been canceled by the CW. There had been a ton of rumors about whether it would be back or not, then that it might be back for a limited run. But no such luck for fans of Loralai and Rory.

The popular comedy-drama is coming to an end May 15, and in a perfect fictional world, Luke and Lorelai would walk off into the sunset together.

But we may just have to imagine that they will live happily ever after - or at least as happy as a couple can be when one is a neurotic romantic and the other is about as passionate as a log.

After months of speculation that The CW series would come back for a limited run, the network announced Thursday that “Gilmore Girls” will end its seven-season run this month. The network and the production company, Warner Bros., could not come to terms with stars Lauren Graham, who plays Lorelai Gilmore, and Alexis Bledel, who plays Lorelai’s daughter, Rory.

So will Luke and Lorelai ride off into that series finale sunset? Hard to say since the series finale episode is going to air in a couple of weeks and no one knew when it was filmed if it would be the series finale or the season finale.

There has been a lot of rumors and speculation about the current status of the Gilmore Girls, and whether the CW would be picking it up for next season. Unfortunately, it is one of the shows that Kristen from E! says is not looking very good for a next season renewal.

Reviews for this season of Gilmore Girls have definitely been mixed… some saying it is the best season, while some saying it is the worst. But looks like some of these loose ends will at least by tied up by the end of the current season, or we will be stuck not knowing for, well, ever.

Sookie pregnant on Gilmore Girls, but who’s the daddy?

Friday, January 26th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Melissa McCarthy of Gilmore Girls is pregnant, and looks like the writers will have Sookie pregnant on the show for the third time. But, since Jackson has had a vasectomy, who is the daddy? Ausiello seems to hint that Taylor will be the daddy-to-be and shake things up.

Question: Do you know how Gilmore Girls plans to deal with Melissa McCarthy’s pregnancy?— Katherine
Ausiello: Scoop! They’re dealing with it by making Sookie pregnant for a third time. Not sure how Dave R. is gonna pull that one off, considering Jackson had that vasectomy and all. Maybe Taylor’s the daddy? I kid. I kid.

Won’t this make things interesting!

Lorelai’s epiphany on Gilmore Girls means Luke’s in and Christopher’s out

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

According to Michael Ausiello, Christopher is going to be the one on the out when Lorelai has an epiphany about the relationship she has/wants with Luke.

From Ausiello: The episode involving Richard getting sick has been tweaked a little bit. The story plays out the same way, with Luke running errands for Emily and Chris throwing a pity party for himself. But Lorelai’s epiphany will be more gradual. The end result will be the same: Luke in, Christopher out. The entire hour of episode 13 will take place in the hospital. There should be some great Lorelai/Emily interactions.

Also, leading up to this is Luke asking Lorelai to write a letter for his custody fight.

All the ones who want to see Lorelai get her act together and get back with Luke will be pleased!

Loralai and Luke getting closer again on Gilmore Girls

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

For those of you still cranky over the whole Loralai and Christopher wedding will be happy with next week’s episode. Loralai and Luke share a meaningful moment, while Christopher (who of course witnesses the entire exchange) gets cranky himself and begins to question whether Loralai really loves him or if he was rebound guy (you think?)

The December 5th episode:

Lorelai dreads each day that she meets with her mom and a prominent party planner in anticipation of the upcoming wedding party. Meanwhile, Lorelai and Christopher can’t seem to agree on plans for their future, and she usually gets her way; Logan is in town and Rory takes him to the Yale cafeteria, where they run into Marty, and Rory explains the whole awkward reunion she had with Marty and their subsequent deception with Lucy; and Luke decides to talk to a lawyer about April.

A hint about their meaningful moment… it involves Liz’s baby.

Yes, the speculation is true. Lorelai is getting married… to Chris! The episode features the Gilmore Girls in Paris for November sweeps, and the two tie the knot on November 14th.

And what about Luke? Well, David Rosenthal reveals that he and Lorelai will still be in each other’s lives. And looks like things might be rough for Lorelai when she returns from Paris with a different hubby than everyone was expecting.

Ausiello has the full scoop

But honestly, I can’t believe she is (finally) getting married after so many false starts. Wow!
